Join us for Worship on Christmas Eve
All are welcome!

If you and your family are looking for a place to worship on Christmas Eve, we invite you to join us at Monte Sano United Methodist.  We offer two candlelight worship services with Holy Communion on Christmas Eve, as well as opportunity to receive Holy Communion in a quiet Sanctuary from 7:30-8:00 pm if you cannot make it to one of the earlier services.

Contemporary Candelight Christmas Eve Service
5:00 pm in the Sanctuary

Join us as our praise band leads us in worship on Christmas Eve.  This service features all the familiar elements of a Christmas Eve service: carols, liturgy, a children's moment, scripture readings, a sermon, Holy Communion, and the singing of Silent Night by candlelight at the close of the service.

Traditional Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
6:30 pm in the Sanctuary

Join us as our Chancel Choir leads us in worship on Christmas Eve.  This service features all the familiar elements of a Christmas Eve service: carols, liturgy, choral anthems and solos, scripture readings, a sermon, Holy Communion, and the singing of Silent Night by candlelight at the close of the service.

Communion Offered at the Altar Rail
7:30-8:00 pm in the Sanctuary

For many people, family traditions, work, or other obligations keep them from attending one of the earlier Christmas Eve Services.  Monte Sano United Methodist offers a third opportunity for congregants, guests, and neighbors to receive Holy Communion at the altar rail in a quiet sanctuary.

Holy Communion in The United Methodist Tradition
An Open Table

In the United Methodist tradition, we practice an open Communion table. That means thay you don't need to be a member of this church or any church to receive Communion at any of our worship services.  From our youngest children to our oldest adults, all are welcome top receive at the Lord's table.

Thought we often refer to wine in the litrugy around Holy communion, we actually only serve grape juice.  The reason for this is to make Communion accessible to anyone who wants to receive it (including young children and those who may be in addiction recovery).

Gluten-free Communion elements are also available on the altar rail.
