Today—March 4th Rev. Dale Clem wants to remind everyone that today is the only day of the year which is a command!  So let’s do it!

 

Enneagram Workshop will be March 12-13 at St Stephens Episcopal Church.  Brochures about this tool for exploring your spiritual path are on the table in the Educational hallway.

 

Children’s Ministry will sponsor a Kite Flying Day on the ball field on March 27 from 1-3.

 

New Church Logo and Theme  Following our planning retreat in January, a theme/logo has been selected for our church in 2010.  The logo is a door which goes along with 10thousanddoors.org and the rethinkchurch.org program of the wider church, and our particular tag line is:  "Open the Door, Join the Action."  We hope to build and help persons in our church find ways to join the many ways our church is changing the world locally and internationally.

 

 Missions UMCOR is on the ground offering relief through our United Methodist Churches in Chile following the earthquake. Our church has sent $1000 from our missions committee for these efforts. You may also contributions by writing: UMCOR-Chile on the check.  Our "One Great Hour of Sharing" for UMCOR will be March 14 where we take up our yearly offering for the United Methodist Committee on Relief. 

 

United Methodist Children's Home Benefit Luncheon will be March 27, 2010 at Asbury UMC in Madison to raise money for "Babies First" which is a program to train and care for young mothers and their babies.  Individual reservations are $15 or sponsoring a table of 8 is $120.  Please let Jane Glenn know if you would like to attend.
